The 28-year-old cricketer, who has represented Australia in nine matches, was flagged for a questionable bowling action during the second Test match against Sri Lanka in Galle earlier this month.
Further independent evaluations have indicated that the flex in his elbow is within the acceptable limit of 15 degrees, allowing him to continue bowling without restrictions.
“We are delighted for Matt that this issue has been settled,” stated Ben Oliver, the executive general manager of national teams at Cricket Australia.
“This has been a difficult time for Matt, but he has handled it remarkably well.
“He has received the unwavering support of Australian cricket, and he can now advance to the next stage of his international career with strong confidence.”
Kuhnemann claimed 16 wickets during the two-Test series against Sri Lanka and has a total of 25 wickets in five Tests. Additionally, he has participated in four one-day internationals.
