Bayer Leverkusen has dismissed former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag following merely two league games as their head coach.
The 55-year-old Ten Hag was appointed by the German team during the summer after being released from his role at United in October.
"Nobody was eager to take this step," stated Simon Rolfes, the managing director of Leverkusen, on the club's website. "Nevertheless, the recent weeks have demonstrated that it is not possible to create a new and successful team with this configuration."
