The 28-year-old concluded his nine-year tenure at Everton in June, declaring that it was an "extremely tough choice" to depart from the club.

Calvert-Lewin netted 71 goals in 273 appearances for Everton after his transfer from Sheffield United for £1.5m in 2016.

Leeds has other options for strikers, including Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha, while Patrick Bamford has been informed that he is "not included" in manager Daniel Farke's strategy for this season, and Mateo Joseph has moved to Mallorca on loan.

Calvert-Lewin's most outstanding season came in 2020-21 when he scored 16 goals over 33 Premier League matches and was part of the England team that advanced to the final of the European Championship that same summer.

He faced challenges with injuries and performance in the subsequent season and in 2024-25, he participated in just over half of the 26 matches he played.

Since 2021, he has not increased his tally of 11 England caps and four goals.
